Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is the principal provider of community-based healthcare services to the 1.2 million population of Hertfordshire. The Trust is rated as 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission.
We have around 2,000 staff and every day we deliver a wide range of high quality health services to people in their homes, in local clinics, in schools and in our community hospitals. The graphic below highlights some key facts about us and what we do.
We support people at every stage of their lives, from health visiting and school nursing services for children and young people to community nursing, rehabilitation and palliative care. In 2019/20 we carried out around 1.6 million visits and appointments and had a budget of £116 million.
We work in partnership with colleagues across NHS, social care, education, charities and local government helping people to maintain their independence for as long as possible and making sure people get the right care in the right place at the right time.
Community health services are at the forefront of NHS care and support - and our mission is to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Hertfordshire.
